For Exede Internet customers, new Viasat brand signals only minor changes

With the exception of some new looks on websites and other material, the change in names from Exede to Viasat should have only a small impact on Exede Internet customers.

You may already know that Viasat provides your Exede Internet service. The Viasat network powers millions of high-quality connections for airlines, military, businesses and consumers. As we begin offering more services in other countries, we want to be recognized worldwide as Viasat, the name of our company since we were founded in 1986.

As a result of this, the names “Exede” and “Wildblue” will be retired, starting in December 2017, and replaced with a new name, brand, and logo — Viasat Internet.

What does that mean for you as an Exede customer? Well, for starters, we’re still the same company, so your service won’t change — except for the better. In fact, we’re investing over $1 billion in technology innovations over the next few years to continually improve the speed and quality of your service.

What else is changing? Aside from our look, feel, logo and name, you shouldn’t notice a lot of changes. Your service plan will stay the same. Exede.com will remain active well into 2018, allowing you to use the same site and tools you’re already familiar with. You can still log into your account at MyExede.net, or the new location, account.viasat.com. And you’ll be able to keep the Exede.net or Wildblue.net email addresses you have.

The new Viasat brand doesn’t just apply to our residential and business internet services — the new name, logo, and brand appears on all Viasat products and services, from in-flight internet on commercial airlines to communications technology for military troops.

The Viasat brand is evolving and we’re getting better every day. We’re committed to innovation and connectivity, but first and foremost, we’re committed to you — our valued customers.

Q: How does this impact my Exede Internet service?

A: It doesn’t impact your service at all. We’ve always been Viasat — we’ve just been using the Exede name.

A: It doesn’t; your current service plan will stay the same and we’re excited to be offering new plans soon in many areas!

Q: Can I still use my Exede.net and Wildblue.net email address?

A: Yes, your email addresses will not be affected.

Q: Will my MyExede login change? What about the link to access it?

A: Your login will stay the same. You can access your account at MyExede.net or our new portal, account.viasat.com.
